Battle of the Sisters - (in development)

Battle of the Sisters is a 2D PvE fighting game inspired by the Tournament of Souls from League of Legends' recent event, Soul Fighter. Using your four abilities (plus an auto-attack), take part in the battle in the skies between the twins, Kayle and Morgana. Who will triumph?

If you’ve played League of Legends, you’re probably be familiar with the two sisters, Kayle and Morgana. You may also be familiar with their backstory and the great battle they had with each other in the skies above Demacia.*

There is a lot of interesting lore in League of Legends that doesn’t really get touched on a lot, or at least, not in-game. Battle of the Sisters is an opportunity to get a glimpse into what it would be like to not only observe the battle between the twins, but to actually take part in it!

*If you aren't familiar with the lore, here is a summary:

Legendary twin sisters Kayle and Morgana were born atop Mount Targon, known to grant divine power to those who reached its summit. Their mother became a great warrior but would often leave her daughters and rush off to battle. Fearing his wife, their father raised them on his own. However, when they became teenagers, their mother’s celestial blade came down from the sky, splitting in two. At this moment, the sisters both sprouted great wings, and each took one half of the sword. Kayle chose to follow in her mother’s footsteps, becoming a warrior and enforcing laws, while Morgana helped rehabilitate and offer forgiveness to those who admitted their past guilt. Kayle’s followers, particularly Ronas, greatly disapproved of Morgana’s activities and sought to arrest her. Instead, Morgana shackled him until he died. 

“Consumed by rage,” Kayle prepared to “cleanse the city of its sins” and demanded justice for Ronas. However, to achieve her goal, she would have to start with her own sister. And so a great battle between the two sisters began. Since they were equally powerful, the battle seemed endless, until their father became injured and died in Morgana’s arms. Kayle swore never to let mortal emotions overtake her, and she continued to purge the world of its darkness. Morgana, on the other hand, grew to resent her power and even tried unsuccessfully to cut off her wings, finally binding them with chains so she could continue to walk in the mortal world. Kayle, now known as the Winged Protector, is celebrated as a hero, while Morgana is called the Veiled One and is said to have dark outbursts.
